Community Recreation Program
Springbrook has quite an active Recreation Program for those living at home with
their families. Activities include Friday evening Social Club, Saturday morning
swim and Wednesday afternoon and evening bowling. These programs allow
community and home-based individuals the opportunity to come together and
socialize with their peers for group activities and events at Springbrook and
out in their communities.
Activities are designed to meet the needs and interests of the individuals
who participate. Some of these activities include: swimming, bowling, arts and
crafts, holiday parties, community concerts, theater and sporting events.
Participants of all ages are offered a chance to learn about opportunities in
their communities, learn new skills, build friendships and enhance personal
growth and self-esteem.
Social Club
Springbrook's Social Club is expanding all the time. What started out as a
very small group of people has transformed into a large group of individuals who
are building great relationships. The social club has been to several community
events such as the planetarium at SUCO, the fireworks in Cooperstown and the
Farmer’s Museum. They have gone to some local college sporting events, several
local concerts and a play in Sidney especially to see one or our own
perform.
