Community Recreation

Community Recreation Program:

Social Club News

The Social club is expanding all the time we have move from a very small group of people to a large group of individuals who are building great relationships. The social club has been to several community events such as the planetarium at SUCO, the fireworks in Cooperstown, the Farmer’s Museum. They have gone to some local college sporting events as well. We have also gone to a several local concerts. We went to a play in Sidney especially to see one or our own friends who was in the play.

Saturday Recreation News

The recreation program has changed back to seeing everyone from nine to noon Saturday mornings. Did you know that we are now doing swimming lessons first thing Saturday’s before everyone gets there for open swimming?

Springbrook has quite an active Recreation Program for those living at home with their families. Activities include Friday evening Social Club, Saturday morning swim and Tuesday afternoon and evening bowling. These programs allow community and home-based individuals the opportunity to come together and socialize with their peers for group activities and events, at Springbrook, and out in their communities.

Activities are designed to meet the needs and interests of the individuals who participate. Some of these activities include: swimming, bowling, arts and crafts, holiday parties, and community concerts, theater and sporting events. Participants of all ages are offered a chance to learn about opportunities in their communities, learn new skills, build friendships, and enhance personal growth and self-esteem.
