Making a difference for people with disabilities for a lifetime...

From the Executive Director

Dear Friends,

The snow is gone, the leaves are starting to open and spring is in the air at Springbrook!!  When we chose Springbrook as our new name in 2005, we wanted to bring to our name the positive energy, the hope and the renewal that we see every day in our homes, our school and in families’ homes.

Our fifth annual Gala was held at the Otesaga on April 9, 2011.  The theme Hand in Hand was to honor the many hands that join together to help the friends, families and individuals with disabilities at Springbrook.  Whether it be the contractor, vendor, parent or employee, we all work together to make the lives of individuals with disabilities richer.

While the Gala is a beautiful event at a lovely venue, what is truly extravagant is the generosity of our sponsors, the accomplishments of our residents and the loyalty of our employees and board members.

Listening to Willie Sutton sing “Lean on Me” to a crowd of 300-plus supporters as they joined in song was a moment I will never forget.

Sometimes in our lives we all have painMessage from Patricia

We all have sorrow

But if we are wise

We know that there’s always tomorrow

(Chorus)

If there is a load you have to bear

That you can’t carry

I’m right up the road

I’ll share your load

If you just call me

Many have called on Springbrook for someone to lean on.  Together, we will always be there to answer.
