Regulation Update!

If you have not heard the rules have changed for Residential Habilitation at home services. As of February 1st we are now providing the service in as little as fifteen minutes and we can go up to a few hours per week. Each person has their own approved amount of time and if you have questions about your approved hours please give us a call at 607-431-9280 ext 204 and we will be more than happy to help you with your questions.

Success Stories

Bill used to live in certified residential placement, where he had a lot of issues with aggressive behavior. His mother recognized that it was not the right placement and that he was unhappy there. Four years ago he moved into his own apartment where he has been living independently every since. Bill attends a Day Habilitation program during the week, and works with aides morning & evening. He has not experienced any issues at home for several years.

Michael – after 2-3 years without services, Michael was introduced to a respite aide that he & his family love. Shortly after this successful placement, they requested Day Habilitation because they were so pleased with his respite & they felt his aide could help him with a lot more than what they could accomplish at home. Rory – Many aides have been introduced but no one stuck around for very long. Rory now has an aide that he is very comfortable with & she goes above and beyond to create an enriching program for Rory. In the past, Rory’s residence would have to transport him to Norwich to meet aides because his home is located so far away. Rory’s current aide is able to meet him at home and drop him off there at the end of the day. Rory’s residence and his parents are pleased.
